From there, you’ll be whisked away to the colorful Bac Ha market, famous for its Sunday gatherings where ethnic minorities don their finest traditional attire as well as Can Cau and Coc Ly Market. As you journey on to Xin Man in Ha Giang province, you’ll encounter rugged landscapes and remote communities, each with its own unique customs and stories.
Nghia Do, with its serene beauty, offers a stark contrast to the ruggedness of Xin Man, providing a moment of tranquility before you conclude your journey in the vibrant capital city of Hanoi.

Tour Overview:
- Start from Hanoi by bus or train in the evening at around 21:30, arriving in Lao Cai at 6:00 the next day.

Detailed Itineraries
Day 1 : Lao Cai – Bac Ha – Xin Man (B)
Arrive at Lao Cai train station (or Lao Cai parking lot center) early in the morning, get a transfer to a nearby restaurant for refreshing and breakfast.
Drive to Bac Ha area to visit those local ethnic markets.
Depending on your day of departure from Hanoi we will visit one of the following markets Bac Ha Sunday market. This is the largest market in the region, a place where many minority groups gather to buy, sell eat and drink. There are 10 minority groups in Bac ha region. You can buy homemade handicrafts and clothes there. We will have a short trek to Ban Pho village (Flower H’mong) in the afternoon.
Can Cau Saturday Market. This is a colorful market situated in a small village in the mountains. You will see several different minority groups here but many flower H’mong.The locals come here to buy and sell clothes, vegetables, meat, and cattle. In the afternoon we will have a short trek to Ban Pho village (Flower H’mong)
Coc Ly Tuesday Market: This is a small but very colorful market in a mountainous area where mainly flower H’mong gather to exchange their homemade products. You do not see many other tourists here. After visiting the market, we went on a boat trip down the river with beautiful mountains on both sides. On the way, we will have a short trek to Trung do village ( Tay minority ) Overnight in the hotel *** in Bac Ha town.
Day 2: Bac Ha – Xin Man (B, L, D)
Breakfast in a restaurant.
At 9: 00, we continued our expedition to the Xin Man district. From Bac Ha town, we traveled up on the road to Lung Phin market where are with a traffic sign at T-junction ( 19km far way from Si Ma Cai and 7km from Lung Cai), we turned right on the route to Lung Cai and head to Coc Pai town in Sin Man district. The length of this road is about 18km without traffic at all but 12km of uneven, small, curving, upping and bumpy roads dotted with some landslides along the journey which may give you the sense of unsafety, danger & adventure with nice view of high mountains, deep valleys and stunning waterfalls along. Due to bad road, it took us 1 hours to run over 18km to reach Coc Pai town – the center town of Xin Man district.

Lunch at Coc Pai town.
In the afternoon we visit Xin Man border gate, a place about 25 Km from Coc Pai town.
Xin Man border gate, also known as Long Tuyen border gate, is the national border gate in Xin Man land, Xin Man district, Ha Giang province. This border gate is located at an altitude of nearly 2,000m above sea level and is the western border gate which is covered with fog all year round. This is a place of economic interference with China, with a stone gate from the Qing Dynasty still preserved to this day, the border gate also represents the exchange and solidarity of the two countries Vietnam and China. Although it is not a major commodity trading border gate, Xin Man is still one of the important border gates of our country.

Day 3: Xin Man – Nghia Do (B, L, D)
Breakfast in restaurant.
At 9: 00 we transfer to Nghia do village. Go along 177 Street visit Fairy Waterfall and Gio Pass.
Visitors must go over hundreds of stairs throughout a dense bamboo forest to arrive in Fairy Waterfall. However, visitors’ stresses seem to disappear as they come close the waterfall and feel cool water dusts on their face. Fairy waterfall is always peaceful and gentle both in the dry and rainy seasons. There is a small pond under the waterfall foot, which is the riverhead of Ta Lan stream flowing to Nam Dan hamlet, which is home to the Nam Dan ancient stone field relic recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism February 21 , 2008. The flagstones with ancient residents’ vestiges engraved harmoniously two centimeters wide and one centimeter deep, describing the life of residents such as terraced fields, streams, the moon, reproductive culture, circle, and shapes of hand, foot with mysterious meanings, which created the secret and interest for tourists.
Gio Pass is located in Nam Dan commune – one of the key tourist development areas in Ha Giang. Passing Gio Pass is to experience a road with wild mountains and clouds covered year-round. Great immerse yourself in the cool climate and admire the ancient trees of thousands of years old.
Arrive at Nghia Do in the afternoon and have lunch at the homestay.
In the afternoon we will visit Nghia Do village where the ethnic minority people live in the rice fields stretching along the picturesque valleys and hundred-year-old stilt houses.

Day 4: Nghia Do – Hanoi (B)
Enjoy your fresh morning in Nghia do village and breakfast is served in the homestay.
Following breakfast leave Nghia Do for a drive to Hanoi.
Arrive at your hotel. Say goodbye driver and guide.
